I like money... so I'm trying to sell some of my artwork online. In this I've discovered that I have very little work that I would currently consider sellable, and that I have no idea wtf I'm doing. So, does anyone have any experience in this? Any ideas about good sites, or what you would look for in a site if you were planning on buying stuff like this online?
So far the best I've found is this site:

Sorry - I should have clarified. A friend of my moms used to sell her art online and she did rather well (I don't know her too well). I know she was on artwanted and I will see which other sites she was on. Duane might know some as well. He's doing online marketing for himself now.

np, that's a good site, I've already signed up for it! We all know I'm not great at marketing myself, but I figure this is a start at least... I like to think of it as the passive aggressive approach.

She is also here: http://www.absolutearts.com/

Finally, this is the newer one everyone flocks to and designers from this site are often featured in newspapers: http://www.etsy.com/

You also HAVE GOT to market yoruself. Start a blog about your art and the process of creation of ideas. I think you should be able to do this on Etry. You are a great writer and you know how to keep your audience's interest. You will excel at this if you decide to do it.

Tia, I don't know anything about marketing or anything like that, but I would gladly buy a print of that fish on your avatar! (just to name one, and you have so many good ones!!) So if you do find a place to sell your work...please let us know.
