Here is what I've paid to get the domain set up: $71.40 for domain registration & hosting, plus $9.95 to keep my personal info out of domain directories. The $9.95 is all mine, so no one needs to worry about that. Otherwise, chip in what you want. I have a PayPal and can post that info if that's how people want to do it.

I think once we get the FP up, I can set up a donation button there. Perhaps we should create a shared PayPal account so more someone besides me has access to it so we can stay on the up-and-up and be accountable. Of course, then we'd have to figure out what to DO with any donations we get!

And how long does the $71 cover the domain for?

One full year! So even if this site tanks, we have the domain and the hosting until the beginning of August 2010.

Don't say "pizza party." Ew.

My PayPal can be accessed at lizard@areop.com

We just need to cover the costs of the site. Don't make me start cruising the Web to look at the costs of 32" flat screens. Wink

I am happy to have Pixie oversee site finances if others are (and she is willing). To avoid trouble, perhaps it should be a joint account, Pixie and whoever else--maybe *not* an admin? I'm all about doing this *right.*

I'm *not* an admin and if it works for you and the others I'd be happy to help. Very Happy

Based on my experience with Maggie, I'd say she's a good choice. Of course, I want others to weigh in.

I'm not saying who, without permission, but $50 of the cost of setting up the site is already covered. But goddamn, I sure want to!

Aww! That made me happy! It means a lot to have your trust SU. I love you

Of course I'd be willing if that is agreeable to everyone.

Hey no fair malq! I was sleeping at 3:37 am...LOL

I'm good with Pixie and Maggie. I would love to know who gave the donation, but seeing as they want to remain anonymous, we will have to respect that.

A huge thank you to such a generous person.

Please open an interesting bearing escrow account and post all statements. It is the only way I would agree to this and donate money! Twisted Evil

Just kidding.

Pixie and Maggie sound good. Very Happy

I got $15 more, bringing us to $65. If this keeps up, we WILL have to open an account or something!

Okay, so I talked to one member and told said member not to send more than $5 because of our current balance, and I subsequently got $5 sent to my PayPal. But then another member who I didn't talk to first sent $30! We now have a surplus!

And THANK YOU! Pixie and Maggie, the 2 of you can work out how to take over money stuff from me and just let me know what you decide.
